The front of the silver cast bar is stamped with the refiner’s name ‘Heraeus’ and the silver bar’s purity, ‘Feinsilber 999” or 'Feinsilber 9999' imprinted above, and the weight inscribed below. Note that all Heraeus silver bullion bars manufactured since 2014 have a silver purity or fineness of .9999.
Heraeus Precious Metals GmbH & Co. KG, a wholly owned subsidiary of Heraeus Holding GmbH, is the world’s largest privately-owned precious metals refiner and fabricator. The company manufactures London Good Delivery silver bars (since 1972) and London Good Delivery platinum and palladium bars. Ownership Heraeus Holding GmbH, the Heraeus refinery has been based in Hanau, near Frankfurt, for over 160 years.
